My Personal List of Current Events
♥My biggest task lately has been to finish cleaning/unpacking/organizing our house for we are having a little get together at the end of the month for Barney's 30th Birthday & to show off our new house. My "free" time has been spent working on that, even though somedays, it just doesn't feel like I've gotten ANYWHERE. However, this past weekend I did manage to make a large dent in that project! Yeah!!! I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! ♥As previously mentioned, my husband's 30th birthday is looming around the corner...and although I'm excited to celebrate this milestone with him, I find slight fear in the fact that I, too, am nearing the big 3-0 and am not too fond of that fact. I struggled on my 25th birthday and still do! I feel like time is running out...for what, I don't know, but I just fear those big milestone birthdays...but I guess there is no changing it :( ♥DATE NIGHT this week!!! Thursday marks 4 years that my husband and I have been together as a couple! Last year (after our marriage course's suggestions) we decided that every year on April 14th we would evalute and discuss our goals...so my project this week is to come up with my list of goals for Thursday nights discussion. I enjoy going over these things with my husband, and more so, I feel so blessed and thankful for everything that has happened to me/us in these last 4 years! I ♥ you, Barney! ♥Easter is around the corner!! I LOVE the spiritual aspect of this holiday. It is the most beautiful holiday in everything that it stands for in the Catholic faith. This time each year marks "new life" and Easter is the kick off fo the new life. Jesus died and rose to a new life at Easter; Easter is in the spring, when all dormant things come alive and the air is full of life and new beginnings. Happy Easter season to all! ♥Sadly, this past weekend my Great Aunt Gen passed away. She used to own the little grocery store, Pine Grove Grocery, on the west side of town with her husband, uncle Tommy. When we were little kids we would go visit them and Aunt Gen would ALWAYS let us sneak behing the counter and have a few pieces of candy! I remember how we were always SO excited to go there and visit Tom & Gen...I can still smell the smell of the store and the butcher shop! At church, there is a little old lady that always reminds me of Aunt Gen and Sunday I saw her and was thinking about Gen and found it ironic/humbling when I returned home from church yesterday morning I had seen the message that Aunt Gen passed away...and I had JUST been thinking about her. She will be missed...at least she can rest in peace with Uncle Tommy now ♥
